What is Pictures in the Park?
Its an outdoors cinema experience in the evening, under the stars (if its a clear night).
What happens if it rains?
If the forecast is rain, high winds, stormy etc.. then the screening will be cancelled and hopefully rescheduled to a later date.
What do i need to bring?
Suggestions are to bring a blanket, fold up chair, cushions etc.. We might have some seating available but we won’t know until the night. Please don’t bring any sofas or arm chairs!
Maybe a fleece or hoodie in case it turns cold.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes, there will be plenty of hot and cold drinks, alcoholic beverages, hot and cold food, ices, popcorn and sweets.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
Unfortunately not
How big is the screen?
BIG! Approx 8m across and 4m high
Is smoking permitted?
A designated smoking ‘seating’ area is available near the back. Anyone seen smoking in the public seating area will be asked courteously by the marshals to stand outside until they have finished. This is for the comfort and enjoyment of everyone else.
Will the film have an intermission?
No, once the film starts, it will play until it finishes.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes.
Is there toilet facilities?
Yes, just outside the seating area.
Is there a car park?
Yes there is a public car park that is chargeable a the current IW Council rates
Can I bring a dog?
Yes, but please keep it on a lead and make sure it ‘relieves’ itself outside of the designated seating area.
